Helen & Tom’s Wedding, St Thomas on the Bourne, Farnham and Mellow Farm, Dockenfield
A real Summer wedding, the weather doing everything it should – staying dry, warmth and blue skies, happy people, having fun, sitting in a field. Sublime.
I loved this wedding, Helen and Tom are a sweet couple and really made this wedding their own. St Thomas on the Bourne is pretty church inside, light and airy with a magnificent alter leading your eye towards the couple, making the most important part of the day feel very special.
Mellow Farm is a a barn and a field, not one of those that have been renovated removing all traces of its farming roots, it’s a barn. A tractor and a stack of hay in the corner would not have looked out of place. Helen and Tom (but mainly Helen) embraced this and decorated it just right transforming it to rustic chicness. In the evening, the couple, their families and friends spilled out into the field, sitting on the grass, chatter, laughter, kids playing football – a perfect Summer’s evening celebration.
